We provide both private healthcare services and care within the NHS when requested by NHS clinicians. It is usual for patients with wounds that are not progressing to require a specialist and we can provide this at a very low cost.

Sylvie holds a Virtual Clinic on a Friday of half an hour at greatly reduced cost of £35. During that time, she will review your problem wound and make a plan with you. This can be revisited in the following weeks. The assessment will be recorded and then you or your carers will then receive a copy of the video recording so that you can check back over the plan. 

To enable this to work, we ask you to attend a one hour ZOOM virtual assessment or physical assessment where Sylvie visits you at a place of your choosing.  This once only full assessment will be at normal cost and this can be obtained from the contacts page.

Sylvie would follow this full assessment with a written report to enable you to be cared for by family, yourself or any nurse. This is a service open to everyone.

Choosing to access private care is entirely your right as a patient. Some people choose private consultations for a variety of reasons, such as quicker access to specialist advice, additional support, or a second opinion. Sylvie has 30 years experience in wound care and has made wound care her life’s work so you can be assured that if it is possible to help you, we will.

Importantly, accessing private care should never affect your entitlement to NHS treatment. Your NHS care remains available to you and continues independently of any private services you may choose to access. However, we are finding that some nurses do not enjoy a private nurse, no matter how knowledgeable in wound care, accessing their patients.

Nevertheless, patients are free to move between private care and NHS services, and your clinical needs and wellbeing will always remain the priority.
